Produced in a limited edition of sixty pieces , the ‘Muse Two Artisanal’ bag in recycled material combines YSL’s expertise in leather goods with the craftsmanship of women in Burkina Faso.
The women of the ‘Gafreh’ association, supported by ‘Les Filles du Facteur’, a non-profit organization aiming to concretize, promote and support the social, cultural and artistic values of women and children in difficulty around the world, have developed a unique technique enabling the creation of a textile from recycled plastic bags and woven cotton, which, purchased according to fair trade rules by Yves Saint Laurent, has been made into an edition of ‘Muse Two’, the house’s iconic bag.
